| Summary, etc. | Le manque d’infrastructures de qualité en Afrique est largement reconnu dans la littérature, et cela malgré une augmentation régulière des investissements infrastructurels au cours de ces dernières années. Cet article propose un benchmarking de la performance des pays africains dans la fourniture des infrastructures économiques clés, à savoir l’eau et l’assainissement, l’électricité, les transports, et les télécommunications. Les résultats montrent que les performances des pays africains sont en général très loin de celles des autres pays ayant le même niveau de développement. |

| Summary, etc. | International Benchmarking of Africa’s Infrastructure Performance The lack of quality infrastructure in Africa is widely recognized in the literature, despite a large increase in infrastructure investment over recent years. This paper provides a benchmarking of African countries’ infrastructure performance across four major sectors: electricity, water and sanitation, information and communication technologies, and transportation. The results suggest that infrastructure performances in African countries are generally far below what would be expected from countries with a similar level of economic development. |
