Summary, etc. En France le surpoids concerne 49 % des adultes et l’obésité 17 % [1]. Sa prévalence augmente dans l’ensemble de la population et beaucoup plus rapidement chez l’enfant. Les données chez les adolescents de classe de 3e montrent une augmentation du surpoids et de l’obésité respectivement de 20 % et 5,4 % chez les filles et 17 % et 4,7 % chez les garçons [2]. Plusieurs types d’intervention sont proposés pour lutter contre l’obésité, interventions liées au mode de vie, lutte contre la sédentarité, contrôle de l’alimentation, prescriptions médicamenteuses. Les médicaments anti-obésité ont montré de grandes variabilités dans leur efficacité en termes de perte de poids, allant de 5 % à 12 % dans les divers essais contrôlés randomisés et selon les contextes cliniques [3]. Deux médicaments analogues du glucagon-like peptide 1, indiqués dans le traitement du diabète de type 2 insuffisamment contrôlé, le semaglutide et le liraglutide, sont utilisés chez des patients adultes non-diabétiques obèses ou en surpoids, pour quel bénéfice et quels inconvénients ?
