| Summary, etc. | L’objet de ce papier est de proposer un cadre théorique et un test empirique explicitant les liens entre changement climatique, migrations et transferts de fonds des migrants. Plus précisément, nous montrons théoriquement comment les transferts de fonds peuvent contrecarrer l’exode rural et les migrations internationales qui résultent des variations climatiques sous certaines conditions. Les hypothèses théoriques s’inscrivent dans la lignée de la littérature relative aux migrations climatiques et, plus précisément, de celles du modèle de Marchiori et al. (2012) Nous proposons, finalement, une analyse économétrique en panel (effets fixes et doubles moindres carrés) basée sur deux jeux de données différents. |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this paper is to build a theoretical framework and to use an empirical test to outline the links between climate change, migrations and remittances. More precisely, we show theoretically how remittances could fight the rural exodus and international migration resulting from climatic variations under certain assumptions. The theoretical hypotheses are in line with the literature about climatic migrations and especially Marchiori et al. (2012)’s article. Finally, we propose an econometric panel analysis (fixed effects and double least squares models) based on two different sets of data. |
