| Summary, etc. | Cet article examine les déterminants du commerce intrabranche entre la Turquie et l'Union européenne (UE-15) en utilisant une approche de données de panel dynamique sur la période 1999-2012. Les résultats montrent une corrélation négative entre les dotations en capital physique et le commerce intrabranche. Ils indiquent aussi que ce commerce intrabranche survient plus fréquemment parmi les pays qui sont semblables en termes de dotations en facteurs. L’effet de la distance sur le commerce bilatéral a été prévu et les résultats confirment l'hypothèse que le commerce augmente si les coûts de transport diminuent, ce qui implique l’importance des partenaires voisins. Nos résultats valident également la complémentarité entre l'investissement direct étranger et le commerce intrabranche. Classification JEL : F14, C33 |

| Summary, etc. | This article examines the determinants of intra-industry trade (IIT) between Turkey and the European Union (EU-15) using a dynamic panel data approach over the period 1999-2012. The results show that there is a negative correlation between allocations of physical capital and IIT. They also indicate that IIT takes place more frequently among countries that have similar factor endowments. The effect of distance on bilateral trade was predicted and the results confirm the assumption that trade increases if transport costs decline, thus pointing to the importance of neighboring partners. Our results also confirm the positive correlation between foreign direct investment and IIT. |
