Summary, etc. | La présente étude exploratoire se base sur les données d’une enquête menée au Burkina Faso entre octobre et novembre 2020, pour évaluer les déterminants des effets du Covid-19 sur les moyens de subsistance, les revenus et l’éducation des enfants des ménages enquêtés. Les résultats montrent que les travailleurs du secteur informel et commercial, ainsi que les ménages non migrants sont plus susceptibles de déclarer une détérioration de leurs revenus et de leurs moyens de subsistance par rapport, respectivement, aux ménages agricoles et aux ménages migrants. De plus, en ce qui concerne l'éducation, les ménages les plus pauvres sont plus enclins à déclarer avoir été affectés par les mesures de fermeture des écoles que les ménages plus riches. Summary, etc. | This exploratory study uses data from a survey conducted in Burkina Faso between October and November 2020 to assess the determinants of the effects of COVID-19 on household livelihood and income and on children's education. Results show that workers from the informal trade sector are more likely to experience a deterioration of their livelihood and income compared to farmers, while non-migrant households seem to be more affected in terms of income and livelihood than migrant households. Regarding education, poorer households report being affected by school closure measures more than richer households. |
