The views and assessments of Mario Bunge have personally influenced the authors. In addition, they considered that Bunge’s assessments of are faithful and fair descriptions of the postulates and processes of contemporary sciences; Bunge’s reflections can also be useful guides in the day-to-day conduct of scientific research. In education, Bunge’s writings and his assertive positions contribute in a powerful and constructive manner to make intellectual life serene and open, while enriching the intellect and sharpening the mind and in fending off various forms of obscurantism that pertains to the areas of study familiar to the authors. |
