| Summary, etc. | Alors que sous la présidence de Mahinda Rajapaska, les entreprises chinoises ont massivement investi à Sri Lanka, en particulier dans ses régions méridionales, générant une dépendance financière de Colombo à l’égard des établissements bancaires chinois, l’arrivée au pouvoir de Maithripala Sirisena a facilité le retour des sociétés indiennes à Sri Lanka, qui ont essentiellement investi dans le Nord et l’Est. Le face-à-face sino-indien, par entreprises interposées, qui semble se profiler ne devrait pas transformer Sri Lanka en un théâtre d’affrontement entre ces deux grandes puissances asiatiques. Par contre, la géographie des investissements chinois et indiens qui se dessine pourrait fragiliser l’unité territoriale de Sri Lanka. |

| Summary, etc. | While under the presidency of Mahinda Rajapaska, Chinese companies have invested heavily in Sri Lanka, particularly in its southern regions, generating financial dependence of Colombo on Chinese banking institutions, the coming to power of Maithripala Sirisena has facilitated the return of Indian companies to Sri Lanka, which essentially invested in the North and East. Nevertheless, this situation should not turn Sri Lanka into a theater of confrontation between these two great Asian powers. On the other hand, the emerging geography of Chinese and Indian investments could weaken the territorial unity of Sri Lanka. |
