| Summary, etc. | Du début de la colonisation française en 1893, à la crise économique de 1912, des maisons de commerce de plusieurs nations européennes s’établirent en Côte d’Ivoire. La mise en place d’un réseau hiérarchisé et la sélection des agents de commerce furent quelques aspects organisationnels pour rationaliser leurs profits. Cependant, la faiblesse de la diversification économique, les frais généraux excessifs et le déficit du contrôle de gestion conduisirent plusieurs de ces maisons de commerce à la faillite. |

The settings up of hierarchical system and the choice of assistants were a few organization aspects for rationalizing.
