| Summary, etc. | Les mouvements de libération vietnamien et algérien organisèrent l’un et l’autre une base de guérilla au sein des populations montagnardes. Tout en partageant certaines similitudes, ils firent face à des contraintes géopolitiques différentes et divergèrent au cours du temps. Le maquis algérien, isolé de toute communication transfrontalière, s’affaiblit progressivement et se fragmenta, tandis que le maquis vietnamien, se fondant sur l’expérience de la Chine communiste, fut en mesure de se développer pour finalement conquérir la ville depuis l’intérieur des terres. |

| Summary, etc. | The Vietnamese and Algerian liberation movements both organised a guerrilla base among mountain populations. While sharing some similarities they faced different geo-political restraints and diverged through time. The Algerian maquis isolated from cross-border communication, became progressively weaker and fragmented, while the Vietnamese, building on experience from Communist China, were able to expand and eventually conquer the city from the interior. |
