| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente l’un des derniers entretiens avec Ilham Tohti, économiste ouïghour basé à Beijing, arrêté en 2014 pour subversion et séparatisme, et condamné à la prison à vie. Une première partie introductive présente son parcours et son combat pour résoudre les tensions entre les Ouïghours et l’État chinois. Une seconde partie est consacrée à la traduction en français, depuis le chinois, d’un entretien mené fin 2013 par le media Voice of America (VoA) sur la situation ouïghoure et l’escalade des violences, suite à un attentat à Beijing en octobre 2013 attribué à des Ouïghours. La traduction a été effectuée avec l’autorisation de la fille d’Ilham Tohti, Jewher Ilham, et de VoA. |

| Summary, etc. | This article introduces one of the last interviews of Ilham Tohti, a Beijing-based Uyghur economist who was arrested in 2014, charged with subversion and separatism and given a life. The first part presents his trajectory and struggle to solve tensions between Uyghurs and Chinese authorities. The second part is the translation, from Chinese into French, of an interview with Voice of America (VoA) on the Uyghur situation and escalating violence following a terrorist attack in Beijing attributed to Uyghurs. The translation received permission from Ilham Tohti’s daughter, Jewher Ilham, and from VoA. |
