| Summary, etc. | Résumé La vitrification est une technique de cryoconservation employée en pratique courante pour conserver les embryons et les ovocytes. Dans le cadre de la préservation de la fertilité féminine, un certain nombre de patientes ne peuvent pas bénéficier d’une vitrification embryonnaire et/ou ovocytaire en raison de l’âge, de l’urgence du traitement ou encore du statut hormonal de la pathologie maligne. La technique proposée est la préservation du tissu ovarien qui est conservé par congélation lente. La vitrification serait une alternative intéressante sur le plan biologique, car elle pourrait améliorer les résultats actuels en termes de durée de vie des greffons, de qualité du tissu stromal en vue de réaliser une folliculogenèse in vitro, avec une reprise de la fonction ovarienne plus rapide. Sur le plan technique, la vitrification ne nécessite pas d’équipement coûteux. Le rêve d’une conservation de tissu ovarien vitrifié semble en train de se réaliser ; les travaux doivent se poursuivre. |

| Summary, etc. | Vitrification is a cryopreservation technique already used in common practice to preserve embryos and oocytes. In the context of preserving female fertility, a number of patients cannot benefit from embryo and/or oocyte vitrification due to age, the urgency of treatment or the hormonal status of the malignant pathology. The proposed technique is the preservation of ovarian tissue which is preserved by slow freezing. Vitrification would be an interesting alternative from a biological point of view because it could improve the current results in terms of graft lifespan, currently a graft survival in monkeys of 18 months to 2 years has been reported, and quality of stromal tissue for in vitro folliculogenesis with faster recovery of ovarian function; and from a technical point of view because it does not require expensive equipment. The dream of vitrified ovarian tissue preservation seems to be coming true; work must continue. |
