| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente les résultats d’une première recherche exploratoire sur la prise en compte du risque dans le voyage d’affaires. Une revue de littérature permet tout d’abord d’identifier la fonction même de travel management dans l’entreprise tout autant que l’émergence d’un nouveau métier, le travel manager (TM) dont nous montrons que la mission principale repose sur la prise en compte du risque dans ses différentes dimensions (financière, physique, de performance, etc.). Une étude qualitative et exploratoire, réalisée auprès d’un échantillon de 10 gestionnaires de voyages, nous amène ensuite à identifier la nature du risque tel qu’il est pris en compte par ces mêmes gestionnaires de voyage d’affaires (ou TM). Les principaux résultats de notre recherche révèlent la difficulté de l’évaluation des risques par les TM et suggèrent des leviers d’actions pour y parvenir. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper reports findings of a first exploratory research on how travel managers (TM) assess risk in the business travel industry. Firstly, literature review allows identifying the function of travel management as well as the role of the TM whose main mission consists in taking into account risk in its various dimensions (financial, physical, performance risk, etc.). Secondly, an exploratory qualitative study based on a sample of 10 TM illustrates how they effectively deal with the specific risk of travelling within their company. The main results of our research reveal the difficulty for them to assess risk and also suggest some levers for potential action. |
