| Summary, etc. | In women and mammals, there are two reserves of follicles in the ovaries, the “static” reserve of primordial follicles, and the “dynamic” reserve of growing antral follicles. One knows numerous genes involved in the formation of the static reserve and in the recruitment of primordial follicles, mutations of which altering these two reserves. The dynamic reserve, visible by ultrasound, can be estimated by AMH blood levels, given the strong correlation that exists between them and the number of growing antral follicles that secrete it. There are also two relationships between these two reserves. On the one hand AMH is likely to block the recruitment of primordial follicles, which allows a management of the primordial follicle pool by growing follicles. On the other hand, there is also a positive correlation between the number of primordial follicles and the number of growing follicles in the female but also the cow and the mouse. |

| Summary, etc. | Chez la femme, comme chez tous les mammifères, il existe deux réserves de follicules dans les ovaires : la réserve « statique » de follicules primordiaux, et la réserve « dynamique » de follicules antraux en croissance. On connaît maintenant de nombreux gènes impliqués dans la formation de la réserve statique et dans le recrutement des follicules primordiaux, et dont des mutations sont susceptibles d’altérer ces deux populations de follicules. La réserve dynamique, visible par échographie, peut être estimée par les teneurs sanguines en hormone antimüllérienne (AMH), étant donné la forte corrélation qui existe entre ces dernières et le nombre de follicules antraux en croissance qui la sécrètent. Il existe également deux relations entre ces deux réserves. D’une part l’AMH est susceptible de bloquer le recrutement des follicules primordiaux, ce qui permet une gestion du pool de follicules primordiaux par les follicules en croissance. D’autre part, il y a aussi une corrélation positive entre le nombre de follicules primordiaux et le nombre de follicules en croissance chez la femme - mais aussi chez la vache et la souris. |
