| Summary, etc. | Cet article est un compte rendu d’un entretien mené en 2014 avec feu Jean-Louis Le Moigne à qui nous rendons ici hommage. Nous parcourons donc de manière thématique les idées-phares de cet entretien dont nous tirerons l’essentiel des citations. Jean-Louis Le Moigne a présenté ce qu’est la pensée constructiviste et en particulier la place prépondérante du modèle dans toute pensée. Lorsque l’on s’applique à bien modéliser un phénomène ou un système dynamique, le chercheur doit en étudier les finalités, les transformations, les fonctions et l’environnement avec lequel il est en liaison permanente : il doit considérer la complexité de ce qu’il étudie et modélise. Cette posture du chercheur n’est donc pas neutre et l’engage à faire des choix de manière consciente – notamment en ayant conscience que toute donnée est construite –, à être responsable et digne. L’on retrouve ainsi ce devoir éthique du chercheur dans le cadre de l’enseignement qu’il dispense, devoir qu’a porté de manière exemplaire Jean-Louis Le Moigne. |

| Summary, etc. | This article is a report of an interview conducted in 2014 with Jean-Louis Le Moigne, to whom we pay tribute here. We will therefore take a thematic look at the key ideas from this interview. Jean-Louis Le Moigne presented us the constructivist thinking and in particular the predominant place of models in any thought. When a researcher is modelling a phenomenon or a dynamic system, he has to study its purposes, transformations, functions and also the environment with which it is permanently linked: in other words, he has to consider the complexity of what he is studying and modelling. Therefore, the researcher’s stance is not neutral and requires to make conscious choices – in particular by being aware that a data is by definition constructed; he has to be responsible and dignified. The researcher’s ethical duty can also be seen in the teaching he provides, a duty exemplified by Jean-Louis Le Moigne. |
