| Summary, etc. | The theme of industrial espionage arouses the interest of researchers. Its effects on businesses can be harmful. Companies must protect themselves and adopt appropriate behaviors and practices. However, industrial espionage remains almost inseparable from certain related concepts, notably economic intelligence. Some authors go so far as to confuse the two concepts and others consider industrial espionage as the higher stage of economic intelligence. This research work is mainly based on an analysis of the literature. In this paper, we discuss the difficulties of demarcating a border between the two concepts. A delimitation framework through the notions of law and ethics is to be defined. Future research proposals are made. |

| Summary, etc. | Le thème de l’espionnage industriel suscite l’intérêt des chercheurs. Ses effets sur les entreprises peuvent être néfastes. Les entreprises doivent se protéger et adopter les comportements appropriés et les pratiques idoines. Toutefois, l’espionnage industriel demeure presque indissociable de certains concepts connexes, notamment l’intelligence économique. Certains auteurs vont en effet jusqu’à confondre les deux concepts et d’autres considèrent l’espionnage industriel comme l’étape supérieure de l’intelligence économique. Ce travail de recherche repose principalement sur une analyse de la littérature. Dans cet article, nous discutons des difficultés de délimitation d’une frontière entre les deux concepts. Un cadre de délimitation à travers les notions de droit et d’éthique est a priori à définir. Des pistes de recherche sont proposées. |
