| Summary, etc. | Cet article s’inscrit dans le prolongement des avancées récentes portant sur le Tonnetz. Après un rappel historique de l’élaboration de cet outil graphique d’analyse harmonique, dont les principaux développements sont associés au théoricien allemand Hugo Riemann à partir de 1874, sont posés les enjeux actuels liés à l’extension et à l’application pratique des théories dites néo-riemanniennes. De ces enjeux, qui mettent en perspective certains modèles d’analyse graphique récents, émerge la proposition centrale de cet article, à savoir l’élaboration d’un nouveau Tonnetz qui s’attache à opérer de façon inédite, sur un même plan en deux dimensions, une synthèse graphique entre l’ensemble des accords classés du vocabulaire harmonique tonal – accords à trois sons et accords à quatre sons de différentes espèces –, en vue d’ouvrir un champ d’application plus vaste. À une première phase d’élaboration théorique et de justification des choix opérés, succède une phase d’application pratique portant sur un exemple précis issu de la Symphonie no 5 de Bruckner. |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this article is to provide an update of the most recent advances in the field of the Tonnetz. A brief historical overview of the origins of this graphic tool for analysing harmonic relationships developed by the German theorist Hugo Riemann from 1874 is first given, followed by a discussion of the current issues surrounding the extension and practical application of the so-called neo-Riemannian theories. The most recent neo-Riemannian models of graphical analysis provide the main thesis of this article: the creation of a new Tonnetz that seeks a graphic synthesis of triads and 7th chords used in tonal harmonic vocabulary enabling a much wider field of application. A theoretical discussion and explanation of the choices made is then given, followed by a practical demonstration using a specific example taken from Bruckner’s 5th Symphony. |
