| Summary, etc. | Cet article propose une analyse structurelle et formelle des Trois études hongroises de György Ligeti. Le petit recueil a un intérêt stratégique dans la production assez abondante du compositeur, en ce qu’il se situe à une période de restructuration importante de son écriture. Pourtant, il a été assez peu commenté. La compréhension des processus qui s’y déploient est susceptible d’éclairer le style d’œuvres de plus grande envergure comme les Études pour piano qui lui succèdent dans le catalogue. Cette analyse vise aussi à montrer comment ce recueil se situe au sein du kaléidoscope des œuvres vocales que Ligeti a composées à partir des textes de Sandor Weöres, à des périodes très différentes de son itinéraire créateur, et en quoi l’esthétique du grand poète hongrois s’articule particulièrement bien avec l’imaginaire ligétien. |

| Summary, etc. | This article presents a structural and formal analysis of György Ligeti’s Magyar Etüdök ( Hungarian Études). This small collection of three studies is of great interest in the composer’s prolific output, in that it comes at a period of significant compositional transition. However, it has been little commented on. An understanding of the processes that unfold in it is likely to help in understanding the style of larger works such as the Études for solo piano that follow it in the catalogue. This analysis also aims to show how this work relates to the kaleidoscope of vocal works that Ligeti composed based on texts by Sandor Weöres, at very different periods in his creative career, and the way the aesthetics of the great Hungarian poet are particularly well articulated in Ligeti’s imagination. |
