L’émergence d’un indicateur ne modifie ni les lieux, les acteurs ou les objets de négociation mais influence fortement le point de départ des discussions, les alliances stratégiques, le sens des marchandages et leurs enjeux. |

| Summary, etc. | Indicators, as measuring tools, are more and more frequently used in the public forest management. This article aims to show that an indicator can be considered as a structuring point of forestry negotiations. The emergence of an indicator does not change the place, the actors nor the object of the negotiations, but it has a significant influence on the discussions initial agenda, the strategical coalitions as well as the orientation of bargains and their issues. |
