| Summary, etc. | RésuméSelon une perspective pragmatique, le tiers peut être défini comme une contrainte pragmatique, qui porte sur des manières d’agir. L’article différencie trois formes de contraintes pragmatiques et donc trois formes de tiers : le « tiers » empirique, le tiers généralisé et le tiers réflexif, et les met à l’épreuve sur le terrain de la négociation. On peut distinguer ainsi deux manières de produire des règles communes et de construire la négociation, selon les formes de tiers qui y sont activées. Différencier ces formes de tiers permet de mieux saisir les enjeux de la négociation aujourd’hui. Un des problèmes de la modernité est la construction d’une articulation complexe entre tiers généralisé et tiers réflexif. |

| Summary, etc. | According to a pragmatic perspective, the « third » can be defined as a pragmatic constraint imposed on ways of behaving. The article differentiates between three such forms of pragmatic constraints and thus three forms of « third » : the empirric third, the generalized third and the reflexive third and tests their relevance in the field of negotiation. We can distinguish two ways of producing common rules and of building a negotiation, according to the forms of « third » that are activated. To differentiate between these forms of « third » allows to better tackle the main issues connected negotiation today. One of the main problems of the modernity is linked to the construction of a complex articulation between the reflexive « third » and the generalized « third ». |
