| Summary, etc. | RésuméÀ l’encontre des attentes, une modélisation de la négociation multilatérale existe, non pas aussi nette que celle concernant la négociation bilatérale, mais néanmoins contenue dans les analyses de cas et les concepts développés jusqu’ici. Comme la négociation elle-même, la modélisation cherche à décomplexifier. Elle le fait principalement par des coalitions, à la fois des parties et des sujets. La première utilise la coordination, l’accumulation, le rassemblement, la conglomération et le reliage ; la deuxième, la concession, la compensation et la construction. La négociation multilatérale sert souvent à la construction et l’ajustement des régimes et des institutions internationaux. |

| Summary, etc. | Contrary to expectations, modeling multilateral negotiation exists, not as clearly as in bilateral negotiations but nonetheless informing case studies and conceptual analysis. Like the negotiation itself, modeling seeks to decomplexify. It does it principally through coalitions, both of parties and of subjects. Party coalitions follow paths of coordination, accumulation, assembly, conglomeration, and linkage; issue coalitions use concession, compensation, and construction. Recursive multilateral negotiations are involved in the construction and adjustment of international regimes and institutions. |
