| Summary, etc. | Alors que la Norvège est toujours considérée comme un des piliers du transport maritime mondial, sa construction navale, pourtant prospère avant les années 1980, semble réduite à une taille presque insignifiante dans les premières décennies du xxie siècle. Pourtant, à y regarder de plus près, cette industrie dispose encore de nombreux atouts, fondés sur la maîtrise d’une division mondialisée des tâches et surtout sur la recherche de l’innovation, que l’extraction des hydrocarbures offshore n’a fait qu’encourager, en particulier pour la production des équipements navals. La géographie des lieux de production est alors intéressante à suivre et aboutit aujourd’hui à mettre en valeur de véritables districts marshalliens dans des régions de tradition industrielle comme le Møre og Romsdal. Cette géographie tranche fortement sur les foyers de la grande industrie fordiste qui avait autrefois bénéficié aux villes disposant des meilleurs effets d’agglomération. |

| Summary, etc. | While Norway is still considered one of the major actors of global shipping, its shipbuilding, although prosperous before 1980s, seems reduced to an almost insignificant size. However, on closer inspection, this industry still has many advantages based on the control of an international division of labor and the search of innovation, encouraged by the needs of the offshore activities, especially in the production of naval equipments. The geography of the production sites is interesting to follow and today leads to the development of industrial districts in regions with an industrial tradition such as Møre og Romsdal. This geography contrasts strongly with the sites of the « fordist » industry that had benefited to the cities with the best agglomeration effects. |
