| Summary, etc. | Marguerite Clerbout, née à Laon en 1905 et décédée dans la même ville en 1998, a consacré sa vie à la poésie. Issue d’une famille aisée, installée à Paris dans les années 1930, elle a côtoyé les grands noms du monde littéraire de l’époque, Jean Cassou, Paul Éluard, Max Jacob… Son œuvre lumineuse composée au plus près de la nature nous parle de l’eau, des oiseaux, du ciel, des étoiles, de tout ce que ressent un esprit attentif au monde qui l’entoure. Ses poèmes publiés en particulier chez Guy Lévis Mano et Rougerie ont ce caractère intemporel qui fait que chacun de nous peut les porter en soi. |

| Summary, etc. | Marguerite Clerbout was born in Laon in 1905 and died in the same town in 1998. She devoted he life to poetry. Raised in a wealthy family, settled in Paris during the thirties, she met many famous artists of the time, Jean Cassou, Paul Éluard, Max Jacob… Her luminous poetry close to nature deals with water, birds, sky, stars, and talks to any attentive mind. Her poems mostly published by Guy Lévis Mano and Rougerie have a timeless character, they belong to everybody. |
