| Summary, etc. | Cet article interroge une évolution sociétale qui offre une possibilité de réajustement chirurgical du « soi ».Les chirurgiens plasticiens sont confrontés à une catégorie nouvelle de patients : des adolescents qui font des demandes esthétiques qui ne concernent aucun défaut particulier, mais une demande singulière, celle de leur donner des traits physiques pour ressembler à un modèle idéalisé. Ce sont souvent les mêmes, pour répondre à des canons esthétiques qu’ils trouvent sur Internet. ( Barbie surgery) Ils veulent ressembler à un personnage fictif qui existe en figurine ou au cinéma. D’autres cas illustrent le Body Identity Integrity Disorder à travers la demande de chirurgie pour refaire son corps au travers de multiples opérations ou d’imposer au chirurgien une amputation grâce à des autoagressions. |
