Summary, etc. | À partir d’une étude de cas, et d’un examen de la littérature scientifique consacrée au sujet, cette contribution vise à établir que la conséquence scolaire des traumatismes crâniens est souvent importante à moyen terme. Les difficultés scolaires et comportementales apparaissent en effet souvent à distance du traumatisme, et aussi bien chez les enfants avec un traumatisme crânien sévère que modéré. Car après une montée rapide pendant la première année, la récupération atteint un plateau. Et après trois ans apparaissent fréquemment des difficultés scolaires. Cette distance entre le traumatisme et l’apparition des troubles est parfois responsable d’erreurs importantes dans les stratégies de scolarisation ou de rescolarisation adoptées, qu’il s’agit de tenter d’éviter. |

Summary, etc. | On the basis of a case study and examination of scientific literature devoted to the subject, this article seeks to show that the impact of cranial traumas on schooling is often considerable medium-term. Educational and behavioral difficulties often appear a certain time after the trauma, in children suffering from a severe or a moderate trauma. After rapid improvement during the first year, recovery reaches a plateau. And after three years learning difficulties frequently appear. This distance between the trauma and the appearance of difficulties is often the cause of major mistakes in choosing educational re-schooling strategies, and the point is to avoid such mistakes. |
