Summary, etc. | L’exemple des Instituts d’éducation motrice (IEM) gérés par l’Association des paralysés de France (APF) permet de mettre en évidence les mutations actuelles du secteur médico-social. Sous l’impulsion combinée des lois de 2002 et de 2005, mais aussi des valeurs associatives de l’APF et des évolutions rencontrées sur le terrain, les IEM sont passés progressivement d’une institution centrée sur elle-même à une institution ouverte sur le monde, la scolarisation en milieu ordinaire servant de catalyseur. En plaçant la personne au centre du dispositif et en réaffirmant ses droits d’une part, en introduisant le projet de vie, le contexte législatif d’autre part, renforcé par le projet associatif, a amené les structures à passer d’une logique de filière à une logique de parcours, mais aussi d’une logique de structure à une logique d’offre de service. |

Summary, etc. | The experience coming from the APF Education institutes for young physically disabled children and young people emphasizes the obviousness of the main actual changes amongst the disability rehabilitation sector. Due to the impulse of the 2002 & 2005 Regulations but also influenced by the main Values developed by APF and all current evolutions, such institutions gradually turned from a self-centred to a more broadminded view focussed on mainstream education. The project adjusts around the individual and is rights-based ; backed on APF fundamental values as well as the legislative context, it takes on board the person’s own project first and develops a free individual rather than a channelled way forward, with open rather than institutionalized service-provisions. |
