| Summary, etc. | Le but de cet article consiste à présenter des influences de l’évolutionnisme Darwinien et des idées de Frederick Matthias Alexander sur l’esthétique naturaliste de John Dewey. Ces influences menaient Dewey à sa propre version de l’esthétique naturaliste, c’est-à-dire une conception large, non cartésienne, dynamique d’un sujet, qui peut aussi inclure des animaux. Par conséquent John Dewey construisait une sorte d’anti-anthropocentrisme, ce qui décidait que son esthétique était en avance sur son temps. |

| Summary, etc. | John Dewey’s Naturalistic AestheticsThe purpose of the article is to show that Dewey’s naturalistic aesthetics was influenced by Darwinian evolutionism and Frederick Matthias Alexander’s thought. These factors led Dewey to formulate his own version of naturalistic aesthetics with non-Cartesian, dynamic and broad understanding of the subject which might include animals. As the result the philosopher coins a kind of antianthropocentrism in his aesthetics which contributed to his aesthetics being far ahead his time. |
