| Summary, etc. | Le jeune polyhandicapé est un enfant blessé dans son corps : les graves troubles moteurs restreignent ses possibilités d’exploration et de communication, les déformations corporelles dont il est atteint sont source de douleurs dans un corps déjà souvent « mal » manipulé.Mais le corps et ses mouvements constituent un instrument central dans le développement cognitif et affectif de tout être humain.Comment aider le jeune enfant polyhandicapé à découvrir à tirer parti de son corps, à le différencier de celui de l’autre, à le faire devenir source de découverte et de plaisir ? Les ateliers de musique, de contes sensoriels, de psychomotricité, développés dans les institutions avec lesquelles travaillent les auteurs, y contribuent : ils permettent à l’enfant de découvrir ses possibilités d’action et d’interaction, et de développer son autonomie. |

| Summary, etc. | The young person with multiple disabilities is a child wounded in his body : serious motor disorders limit his possibilities of exploration and communication. The physical deformities from which he suffers are a source of pain in an often mishandled body.But the body and its movements constitute a central instrument in the cognitive and emotional development of every human being. How can we help the young child with multiple disabilities to discover the way to use his body positively, to differentiate it from that of others, to have it become a source of discovery and pleasure ? Workshops devoted to music, censorial stories, psychomotricity, developed in institutions with which the authors work, contribute to finding a solution. They enable the child to discover possibilities for action and interaction and to develop his autonomy. |
