Summary, etc. | Au début de la prise de fonction de l’auteur en tant que maître spécialisé chargé des aides à dominante pédagogique ( « maître E »), c’est avec une attention particulière qu’il a pris connaissance de demandes d’aide concernant les élèves éprouvant des difficultés importantes d’apprentissage de la lecture. Il s’est inspiré de travaux soulignant l’importance de mettre les enfants « en écriture » pour faciliter leur entrée dans l’univers des textes, et cette contribution tente d’en fournir une illustration. Mais le rôle du maître E dans le paysage actuel de l’école et son action auprès des élèves en difficulté sont en partie brouillés par les nombreux changements intervenus dans ses conditions d’exercice : pourra-t-il maintenir une fonction professionnelle efficace et spécifique ? |

Summary, etc. | When the author began to work as a specialized teacher in charge of pedagogical assistance (“maitre E”), it was with particular attention that he became acquainted with the requests for help for pupils with serious difficulties in learning to read. He took inspiration from work emphasizing the importance of placing children “inside writing” to facilitate their entry into the world of texts. This article seeks to provide an illustration of this approach. But the role of “maitre E” in the current educational landscape and his action with respect to pupils in difficulty is partly obfuscated by the many changes in his working conditions. Under these circumstances, can the “maitre E” continue to play an effective professional role ? |
