Summary, etc. Subordonner la qualité de la scolarisation à l’édification d’un système équitable de coopération fondé sur la mobilisation de l’ensemble des acteurs autour d’une logique d’action commune impose des exigences conceptuelles auxquelles s’intéresse cet article. La perspective égocentrique de l’école, qui place l’enfant au centre du processus, contribue à le dissocier de son environnement éducatif, fait oublier que la relation éducative ne peut être réduite à un service rendu et que les pratiques de coopération convoquent des enjeux identitaires, sources de résistances. Elle conduit à ne voir l’élève et sa famille qu’à travers leurs difficultés et leur plus ou moins grande incapacité à s’adapter à la norme scolaire. Au contraire, mettre le devenir de l’élève au centre du processus éducatif permet d’échapper à la vision défectologique et d’appréhender le besoin, non plus comme une caractéristique inhérente à l’intéressé, mais comme la résultante d’un processus interactif complexe où s’articule l’interdépendance des besoins des uns et des autres dans un contexte environnemental. Ainsi peut-on concevoir la scolarisation dans une approche écologique, à la lumière de l’effet capacitant ou incapacitant des politiques et des pratiques et mettre à distance une conception consommatoire de la relation éducative.

Summary, etc. Subordinating the quality of schooling to the creation of an equitable system of cooperation based on the mobilization of all persons involved, working with a common action approach, entails adopting certain concepts. This necessity is the subject of the present article. The egocentric perspective of schools, which places the child at the center of the process, helps disassociate him from from his educational environment and leads us to forget that the educational relationship cannot be reduced to a service provided, and that cooperative practices cause challenges to identities as well as sources of resistance. This outlook results in viewing the pupil and his family solely through the prism of their difficulties and their lesser or greater inability to adjust to school norms. On the contrary, if we place the future of the pupil at the center of the educational process we can move out of the defect-focused vision. We can then grasp needs not as characteristics inherent in the pupil, but rather as consequences of a complex interactive process in which interdependent needs take shape in the context of a given environment. In this way we can conceive of schooling with an ecological approach, in the light of the capacitating or incapacitating effects of various practices and policies. We can thus move away from a consumerist vision of educational relations.
