| Summary, etc. | À l’appui de l’analyse d’entretiens de recherche non-directifs, l’objet de cette contribution est de montrer comment les missions spécifiques des professeurs des écoles référents des Unités pédagogiques pour élèves allophones arrivants (UPE2A) et la rencontre avec ces enfants nouvellement arrivés suite à des déplacements forcés et à des périples migratoires propres de notre époque, conduisent les enseignants à un travail particulier sur la question de l’altérité, où la langue devient un enjeu de rencontre et l’exil un point d’appui. Les entretiens font émerger comment très souvent les professionnels, à leur insu, s’appuient sur des expériences intimes d’exil subjectif, c’est-à-dire sur des points d’altérité intime, pour essayer de composer avec cette altérité extime que représentent ces élèves, enfants de l’exil. C’est à partir de ce point d’exil que la relation éducative devient un lieu d’hospitalité. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on the analysis of non-directive research interviews, the aim of this paper is to show how the specific missions of the teachers in charge of the Pedagogical Classes for Allophone Pupils (UPE2A) and the encounter with these “ newly arrived” children following forced displacements and migratory journeys typical of our time, lead the teachers to a particular work on the question of the otherness, where the language becomes an issue of encounter and the exile a point of support. The interviews show how teachers very often, without their knowing it, rely on intimate experiences of subjective exile, i.e. on points of intimate otherness, to try to deal with this extimate otherness represented by these pupils, children of exile. It is from this point of exile that the educational relationship becomes a place of hospitality. |
