Summary, etc. | Les phobies scolaires se proposent sous le jour de fixations pathologiques de comportements d’élèves, multiformes et multifactoriels, de refus de l’école et/ou des apprentissages. N’ayant jamais fait consensus en tant qu’entité pathologique dans les domaines de la psychopathologie et de la psychanalyse, la caractérisation de ces comportements fait l’objet d’interprétations variables. Elles sont redevables à la fois des mutations qui touchent aux conceptions de l’autonomie des individus et colorées par l’appréciation des rapports entre les sociétés et leur système d’enseignement. Tout en esquissant un bilan sur les discussions françaises à propos des phobies scolaires, nous faisons le choix d’une approche empirique. L’analyse exploratoire, notamment conduite auprès des Services d’aide pédagogique à domicile (Sapad), invite à considérer le phénomène comme étroitement dépendant du type d’interaction qui se nouent dans ces situations entre les familles et les professionnels des milieux scolaires et thérapeutiques. Ceci entraîne des conséquences épistémologiques dont tout projet d’enquête sur ces questions devrait tenir compte. |

Summary, etc. | “School phobias“ take the form of multiform and multi-factorial pathological obsessions noticeable in student behavior, and may involve refusal of school and/or learning. As there has never been a consensus in psychopathological and psychoanalytical circles about considering it as a pathological entity, the characterization of those behaviors has given rise to a wide range of interpretations which vary according to the developments in the understanding of individual autonomy and the appreciation of the relationships between societies and their education systems. While we present an overview of French discussions of “school phobias“, we have chosen an empirical approach. Exploratory analysis of home educational support services (Sapad) in particular leads us to consider the phenomenon as closely linked to the type of interactions which occur in those situations between families and educational and remedial professionals. The epistemological consequences to be drawn from this study should be taken into account in all investigation projects about these questions. |
