Summary, etc. L’éducation de l’enfant sourd a longtemps été regardée par le prisme de l’institution spécialisée. Ce qu’il devenait à la sortie de cette institution restait plutôt flou. On tronçonnait le parcours, sans réelle cohérence, et sans réellement se préoccuper de l’après. La loi du 11 février 2005 a permis à la personne sourde de devenir davantage demandeur de systèmes de compensation. En envisageant la personne en situation de handicap dans sa globalité, de nouveaux dispositifs se sont créés, privilégiant la transversalité en intervenant auprès de l’usager de façon personnalisée et contractuelle. Ces services sollicitent chaque fois que possible les dispositifs de droit commun et tout en coordonnant parcours et projets personnalisés, informent, sensibilisent, adaptent ce droit commun à mettre en œuvre les moyens utiles à l’insertion de la personne sourde ou malentendante. Diapasom est une association de parents qui a œuvrée pour la création de ce dispositif visant à envisager l’accompagnement de l’enfant en intégrant les besoins de l’adulte qu’il deviendra.

Summary, etc. For a long time the education of deaf children has been looked at from the point of view of the specialized institutions. What the child became after leaving such an institution was not clear. The education process was scrappy, not coherent and not concerned about what was going on after. The law of 11th February 2005 allowed deaf people to be more involved in their demand of the compensation systems. Considering people in a disability situation from an overall point of view, some associations have created new types of devices, to favour transversality, intervening with the user in a personalized and contractual way. These devices appeal to common right each time it’s possible and coordinate personalized ways and plans. They inform, make the professionals actors aware of the incidences of being deaf, and adapt this common right to the usage of resources in order to reach a good integration of the deaf and hearing-impaired people. Diapasom is a parent’s non-profit organization who implements this kind of devices aiming at supporting the child, integrating his future needs as an adult.
