| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article, nous discutons la problématique des processus de subjectivation, normalisation et constitution de l’ éthos sourd dans la contemporanéité. On fait l’hypothèse qu’à partir des investissements publics, de tels processus se constituent comme des paradoxes contemporains dans la gouvernance de la population sourde. À travers des outils conceptuels foucauldiens, comme la gouvernementalité, la subjectivation et la normalisation, on cherche à montrer le caractère ambigu et paradoxal des pratiques institutionnelles qui sont aussi bien favorables à la différence identitaire sourde qu’à la correction/normalisation des individus porteurs de surdité. Pour conclure, nous montrerons que de telles pratiques, bien que paradoxales, sont présentes dans la vie de tout sujet sourd, car celle-ci est traversée, directement ou indirectement, par l’expérience de la déficience et par le fait d’être sourd. |

| Summary, etc. | In this article, we question subjectivation processes, standardization and establishment of deaf ethos in Contemporary. We understand that through state investments, such processes constitute paradoxes in contemporary government the deaf population. Through Foucault’s conceptual tools, such as governmentality, subjectivity and normalization, we intend to show the ambiguous and paradoxical character of State practices that celebrate the deaf identity difference and invest in correction/normalization of individuals with deafness. Finally, we show that such practices, although paradoxical, are present in the life of all deaf people, because they are crossed, directly or indirectly, through experiences of disability and being deaf. |
