| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe travail quotidien matériel, moral et social réalisé par les professionnelles du secteur de l’aide à domicile pour personnes âgées cumule d’emblée des caractéristiques qui sont autant de stigmates gênant une véritable reconnaissance sociale de la profession. Confinée dans l’espace intime et privé, cette pratique, essentiellement féminine, s’apparente encore aux occupations jugées socialement comme naturelles et spontanées car portant en partie sur des tâches ménagères réalisées gratuitement par d’autres, et visant à assumer un rôle d’assistance ou de suppléance familiale. L’objet de cet article est de tenter d’éclairer comment l’association d’une invisibilité du travail à l’invisibilité de certaines activités au travail participe à la création d’une posture professionnelle de l’aide à domicile construite hors des logiques traditionnelles de professionnalisation. |

The very purpose of the article is to highlight how the full-time job can conjugate with some of these invisible tasks in the working place, therefore creating a professional practice which still craves for a genuine recognition from society. |
