520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Why pedophilia revolts more than any other sexual violence ? The interdict is widespread, but news items reveal the fullness of the practices. Sexual desire awakened by the child is kept up with the parents by our obliged promiscuity with him, this desire is usually repressed and turned into tenderness. Myths, legends and tales stage monstrous parental figures of which children are the prey, whereas the Oedipus complex discovered by Freud reverses the terms of the incestuous desire. The crime is all the more repressed as it breaks a founding interdict of the social order, symbolically carried by the Group that intervenes between children and adults. Acting out may be understood as the reactivation of a feeling of an archaic enjoyment favored by the coincidence of a psychic fragility and the occurrence of a social promiscuity between children and adults.
