520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This article focuses on gender balance in the Early Years work force as an issue of inclusion.By looking from the perspectives of children, female colleagues, parents and the male workers themselves, different arguments for more men are analysed. Moreover, campaigns for more men in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) are reflected from a critical gender perspective. It is concluded that the inclusion of male workers can contribute to the further development of ECEC if constructions of gender are reflected, and if the diversity of men is taken into notion. Instead of searching for the idealized male professional, male workers should be naturally accepted as part of the work force.
