Summary, etc. | Dans la langue française, afin de produire les mots écrits, le scripteur utilise différentes stratégies, dont ses connaissances en morphologie. Depuis quelques années, quelques études ont révélé l’apport de la conscience morphologique au niveau de l’identification et de la production des mots écrits (Bowers, Kirby et Deacon, 2010 ; Goodwin et Ahn, 2013). La présente étude vise à décrire les capacités et les habiletés d’élèves fréquentant un groupe adapté au regard de leurs difficultés d’apprentissage (N = 20 ; âge chronologique moyen = 12 ans et 1 mois). Les résultats au test de conscience morphologique révèlent que leur niveau de conscience morphologique est similaire à ceux des élèves de niveau 3e année du primaire, tout comme leur niveau de performance au test d’orthographe. Ce portrait est analysé qualitativement selon les difficultés spécifiques des élèves ainsi que les habiletés sollicitées dans chacun des sous-tests du test de conscience morphologique. |

Summary, etc. | In the French language, in order to produce written words, the writer uses different strategies, including knowledge in morphology. In recent years, various studies have demonstrated the contribution of morphological awareness at the identification and production of written words (Bowers, Kirby and Deacon, 2010; Goodwin and Ahn, 2013). The present study aims to describe the capabilities and skills of students attending a group adapted in terms of their learning difficulties (N = 20; mean chronological age = 12 years and 1 month). The results in a morphological awareness test show that their level of morphological knowledge is similar to those of Grade 3 students at the primary school, as well as their performance level in a spelling test. This portrait is qualitatively analyzed according to the specific difficulties of the students as well as the skills requested in each of the sub-tests of the test of morphological awareness. |
