| Summary, etc. | La littérature relative à la résilience familiale a pris son essor à la fin des années 1950. Plusieurs modèles ont été élaborés, tels l’ABCX de Hill ou le double ABCX de McCubbin et Paterson. Aujourd’hui encore, ce concept continue à être développé et amélioré. L’objet de cet article est de rappeler l’évolution de ce concept et d’illustrer la résilience familiale à partir des études réalisées à propos des familles confrontées à un cancer pédiatrique. Après avoir décrit les principaux facteurs de risque et de protection en jeu dans cette situation spécifique, la discussion porte sur les aspects méthodologiques des différentes études à partir desquels on peine encore à trouver une approche de la résilience familiale commune et mesurée. |

| Summary, etc. | Scientific literature on familial resilience took off at the end of the 1950’s. Numerous models have been developed such as the ABCX model from Hill or the double ABCX model from McCubbin and Paterson. To this day, this concept is constantly developed and improved. The aim of this article is to underline the evolution of this concept and to illustrate the familial resilience using the example of studies conducted with families facing pediatric cancer. We will first describe the main risk and protective factors used by the families; we will then discuss the methodological features of the different studies as a common and operationalized approach of familial resilience still needs to be developed. |
