Summary, etc. | Introduction : Nous avons pu étudier les documents Cone Beam de patients consultant en ORL avec des occlusions standard de classe I (45 ND), ainsi que ceux de patients de classe II, orthodontique (51 APNS) et à orientation chirurgicale (83 APS). Matériels et méthodes : La biométrie 3D que nous utilisons calcule systématiquement un set de 164 paramètres susceptibles de prendre en compte toutes les dysharmonies, dont 38 paramètres dévolus aux pathologies antéro-postérieures hors asymétrie. Résultats : Des modules d'aide à l'analyse morphologique délivrent les diagnostics littéraires d'asymétrie et hors asymétrie. Les tests t apprécient l'efficacité de chaque paramètre pour trier l'appartenance aux différents sousgroupes. Les coefficients r entre chacun des paramètres et la quantité de classe II (GMMy-Gmmy) précisent l'importance de leur lien avec la pathologie de classe II. Conclusion : Les valeurs moyennes des paramètres pour chaque sous-groupe définissent les profils moyens et, par comparaison, situent la pathologie. En faisant intervenir d'autres paramètres, jusqu'ici peu utilisés faute d'instruments de mesure disponibles, comme les décalages d'arcades, les décalages de bases, les compensations, entre autres, il est possible de sécuriser la décision clinique. |

Summary, etc. | Introduction: We could study Cone Beam documents of patients consulting in ORL with standard Angle Class I occlusion (45 ND), patients consulting in orthodontics with an orthodontic Class II (51 APNS) and patients with a surgical Class II (83 APS). Materials and Methods: The used 3D biometry calculates systematically a 164 set of parameters able to take into account all kinds of disharmonies; among which 38 parameters are specifically devoted to anterior-posterior “off asymmetry” pathologies. Résults: Then the specific Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs treat morphological data and give textual diagnoses. Analysis of the global sample aims to control the efficiency, separating different sub-samples one each other: t test appreciates efficiency of each parameter to recognize clinical sub-sample. The correlation coefficient, r, between each parameter and pseudo Angle molars Class II (GMMy-Gmmy) give the importance of its tie with Class II pathology. Conclusion: Presentation of parameters medium values in each sub-group gives the medium profiles. By direct comparison of patient's parameters values with medium profile, it is possible to locate patient's pathology. So we can take in account new parameters like arches upper/lower gap, anterior bases upper/lower gap, compensating parameters… It is then possible to make more secure the clinical decision. |
