| Summary, etc. | En son ouverture (Mt 1-2), le premier évangile déploie déjà avec une remarquable ampleur le thème de la filiation. C’est en dressant successivement cinq arrière-fonds vétérotestamentaires que Matthieu donne tout son relief à la figure du « fils ». Au fil du récit, la cohérence de ces éclairages croisés se révèle saisissante. Pour nous dévoiler ainsi la Nouveauté avec l’Ancien, Matthieu fait preuve d’une progressivité didactique. Comme si, au seuil du Nouveau Testament, un père apprenait à ses fils à parler. |
