| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Today the reference to psychoanalysis is strongly challenged in the French child psychiatry field. This development can be attributed to various movements both international and local, which have impacted the field of mental health care, not only as object of care, but as societal and economic issues. This article analyzes the diversity or heterogeneity of these different movements as it shows their convergence. Thus are successively analyzed : « globalization of data », « the force of a certain model of scientific rigor », « the rise of economic issues », « the evolution of patients’ rights. » All converge to a sidelining of a psychodynamic approach to children’s mental disorders such as practiced by child psychiatrists for 30 years. How then, in this new context, is it possible to rethink this psychodynamic approach, and to identify concrete room for maneuver that is still available for those who claim to work with this approach, this is what this article is trying to establish. |
