| Summary, etc. | Avec l’Exhortation apostolique Evangelii gaudium (24 nov. 2013), le pape François met en œuvre une nouvelle étape de la réception du concile Vatican ii, à la suite de ses deux prédécesseurs. Non seulement Vatican ii reste une « boussole » pour l’Église, mais sa mise en œuvre passe par la réforme de l’Église, avec une insistance nouvelle sur la synodalité propre au christianisme. Expérience de lecture des Écritures à l’intérieur de la diversité des cultures par toute l’Église, cette synodalité repose sur la responsabilité des évêques et de leurs collaborateurs. Elle reste la condition d’une authentique « sortie missionnaire ». |

Evangelii gaudium, a New Stage in the Reception of Vatican iiWith the apostolic exhortation Evangelii gaudium (24th Nov. 2013), Pope Francis is putting into operation a new stage of the reception of the Second Vatican Council in the footsteps of his two predecessors. Not only does Vatican ii remain as a “compass” for the Church, but its implementation is taking place by means of the reform of the Church, with a new insistence on the synodality which is proper to Christianity. As an experience of reading the Scriptures within the diversity of cultures by the whole Church, this synodality rests upon the responsibility of the bishops and their collaborators. It remains as the condition of an authentic “missionary outflow”. |
