Summary, etc. | L’objectif de cet article est de rendre compte, en s’appuyant sur le cadre heuristique de l’anthropologie de la sorcellerie et sur celui de la sociologie pragmatique, de la façon dont des processus qui correspondent dans leur forme à ceux identifiables dans le cadre « d’ensorcellement » se déploient aujourd’hui en organisation entre supérieurs et subordonnés. Il vise aussi à montrer comment les salariés peuvent procéder pour sortir de ce régime de violence. À partir du cas d’une salariée, cadre d’une administration, il décrit un processus qui tient d’un mauvais sort managérial et fait apparaître le travail qu’opère cette salariée pour se dégager de ce régime de violence en tirant la situation vers un régime de justification. Cette analyse conduit à s’interroger sur la particularité du cas de cette salariée et sur ce qu’il nous dit sur le travail en organisation aujourd’hui. |

Summary, etc. | This article seeks to use pragmatic sociology in combination with the interpretive framework provided by the anthropology of sorcery to describe how processes that bear a formal resemblance to sorcery can exist within the hierarchical relationships of the contemporary workplace. It further seeks to illustrate how employees can extricate themselves from such regimes of violence. Focusing on the case of a female employee working in an administrative setting, the article presents a situation that gives rise to a managerial evil spell, and goes on to describe how the employee is able to extricate herself from this regime of violence by moving the situation toward a regime of justification. The analysis raises questions as to the particularity of this employee’s situation and what this case has to tell us about the professional workplace of today. |
