| Summary, etc. | Arrivé au Cameroun très jeune, Henri Chamaulte est propulsé à des responsabilités de plus en plus importantes, grâce à ses qualités. De directeur de la plantation de la Sanaga, il devient directeur de la Société africaine forestière et agricole (SAFA) : l’une des plus grandes sociétés agricoles du Cameroun français. Dynamique patron de plantation agricole, il est élu membre de la Chambre de commerce, d’agriculture et d’industrie du Cameroun. Son influence dans le monde agricole le conduit en 1947 à l’Assemblée Représentative du Cameroun (ARCAM) puis à l’Assemblée Territoriale du Cameroun (ATCAM). Il achève sa carrière politique comme sénateur du Cameroun en France. Dans le monde agricole de la période sous administration française, Chamaulte se présente comme une personnalité singulière à la tête d’une société particulière. |

| Summary, etc. | Henri Chamaulte came to Cameroon at his tender age. Because of his exceptional qualities, he quickly grasped important functions of high responsibilities. He moved from Director-manager of Sanaga plantation to Director-manager of African Forestry and Agricultural Society (one of the greatest agricultural industries of the French-Cameroon). Then, he became member of Chamber of commerce, agriculture and industries of Cameroon. His influence in the agricultural domain in Cameroon brought him to Representative Assembly of Cameroon (ARCAM) in 1947 and to Territorial Assembly of Cameroon (ATCAM) in 1952. Later, he became a French senator for Cameroon in France. As far as agriculture during the French administration is concerned, Chamaulte is seen as a very important personality at the top of unique society. |
