| Summary, etc. | En décembre 2020 sortait en France le documentaire de Sébastien Lifshitz Petite fille, adulé par les médias. L’auteure soulève ici les questions qu’a suscitées pour elle le visionnage de ce film, dans une perspective critique. Puis, en le comparant à un autre film français très remarqué au moment de sa sortie, Les garçons et Guillaume, à table !, elle explique, depuis la théorie et la clinique psychanalytiques, la complexité du processus de sexuation par lequel un enfant, puis un adolescent, devient « garçon » ou « fille », puis « homme » ou « femme ». Ce qui pose la question de l’accompagnement des enfants et des adolescents, ainsi que des familles, qui sont traversés, et parfois bouleversés, par ces problématiques. |

| Summary, etc. | In December 2020, Sébastien Lifshitz’s documentary, Petite fille (Little Girl), unanimously praised by the media, was released in France. In this paper, we explore some of the questions raised by this film from a critical perspective. We then compare it with another famous French film, and we explain, with the help of psychoanalytic practice and theory, the complexity of the process of sexuation by which a child, then an adolescent, becomes a “boy” or a “girl,” then a “man” or a “woman.” Finally, we reflect on the kind of psychological support that could be delivered to the children and adolescents, as well as the families, who are concerned, and sometimes disrupted, by these issues. |
