| Summary, etc. | La bibliothèque des Archives Nationales d’Outre-Mer (ANOM) abrite un précieux fonds de presse publié en métropole et dans les anciennes colonies. La collection inclut des titres dans diverses langues vernaculaires comme l’arabe, le malgache et le vietnamien. La presse a joué un rôle politique et juridique, parfois confrontée à la censure et à l’interdiction. Ce fonds complète les archives des ANOM et reflète les mouvements sociaux et politiques des anciennes colonies françaises. Des journalistes militants comme Albert Camus, Isabelle Eberhardt et Paulette Nardal y sont également représentés. La conservation de ces journaux est devenue essentielle, des efforts de préservation et de numérisation ont été entrepris pour préserver ce patrimoine. | Summary, etc. | The library of the Archives Nationales d’Outre-Mer (ANOM) holds a valuable collection of press titles published in France and the former colonies. The collection includes titles in vernacular languages such as Arabic, Malagasy and Vietnamese. The press played a political and legal role, sometimes facing censorship and prohibition. This collection complements the ANOM archives and reflects the social and political movements of the former French colonies. Militant journalists such as Albert Camus, Isabelle Eberhardt and Paulette Nardal are also represented. The conservation of these newspapers has become essential, and preservation and digitization efforts have been undertaken to preserve this heritage.
