| Summary, etc. | Le don de soi est la pierre angulaire du mariage. L’amour naît, grandit et se fortifie par ce dynamisme structurel des époux : en consentant librement à se donner, ils construisent un « nous » qui les dépasse. Dieu vient se lover dans ce don mutuel, total, définitif et sa présence est intérieure à la personne des époux. À partir du « don », toutes les propriétés, les biens et les fins sont présentés dans un langage nouveau, cohérent et accessible. Cette reprise de l’essentiel du sacrement atteste la fécondité de la doctrine des dons du mariage. |

| Summary, etc. | The gift of self is the cornerstone of marriage. Love is born, grows and is strengthened by this structural dynamism of spouses : by freely consenting to give themselves, they build an “us” that goes beyond themselves. God comes to coil himself in this mutual, total, definitive gift and his presence is interior to the person of the spouses. With the “gift”, all properties, assets and purposes are presented in a new, consistent and accessible language. This explanation of the essential part of the sacrament attests to the fruitfulness of the doctrine of the gifts of marriage. |
