| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article s’interroge sur les socialisations politiques des jeunes pendant la guerre d’Algérie. Il étudie d’abord l’intérêt des jeunes pour la chose politique, variable selon le sexe, la formation et les appartenances sociales : cet intérêt ne se dément pas, quoi qu’il se porte davantage sur des questions de politique générale que sur les préférences partisanes. Le texte analyse ensuite la forte politisation des élèves dans certains établissements scolaires des grandes villes, et la prégnance de l’opposition à la guerre d’Algérie, sous la forme de “comités antifascistes” notamment. Cette approche offre ainsi de cerner les modalités de l’engagement politique de certains jeunes, en tant qu’individus et comme groupes, à une époque caractérisée par une forte mobilisation militante et par un climat de violence au quotidien. |

| Summary, etc. | This article questions the political socializations of youth during the French-Algerian War. It first studies the interest of young people in politics: this interest depends on sex, education and social class, but it continues, though it concerns more general politics than partisan quarrels. This text analyses then the important politicisation of pupils in some high schools, especially in cities, and the strong opposition to the war, for example with “anti-fascist committees”. This leads to grasp political commitments of some young people, as individuals and as groups, during a period characterized by militancy and violence. |
