Les bouleversements sociaux et politiques – changement de suffrage et modifications constitutionnelles – ont été profonds. Alors que l’architecture générale du monde politique reste étonnamment stable, la sphère parlementaire connaît, elle, des changements importants. Mais si on s’intéresse à des indicateurs plus fins, l’impression de stabilité, là aussi, demeure, et les processus de modernisation clivée propre à l’Empire perdurent sous Weimar. |

But, looking at it with finer indicators, the situation seems also, here, to be one of a great stability, and the processes of a cleaved modernization, already existing during the Empire, persisted. |

| Summary, etc. | Stellten die Konsequenzen des Großen Krieges und die Umbrüche im Jahre 1918 einen großen Durchbruch in der langen Geschichte des deutschen Parlamentarismus dar ? Die sozialen und politischen Umwälzungen – Änderung des Wahlrechts und neue Verfassung – hatten einen signifikanten Einfluss auf das politische Verhalten. Obwohl die allgemeine Architektur des Parteiensystems überraschend stabil geblieben ist, waren die Rekrutierungsveränderungen innerhalb der parla mentarischen Sphäre signifikant. Auch wenn man sich für die feineren Indikatoren interessiert, ist hier der Eindruck von Stabilität sehr stark. Die Prozesse einer gespaltenen Modernisierung, die bereits im Kaiserreich existierten, haben auch in dieser Zeit weiter bestanden. |
