| Summary, etc. | L’article présente un bilan à mi-parcours d’un programme de recherche interdisciplinaire de type ANR : le programme ANR Vioramil. Celui-ci, qui réunit des historiens, politistes, sociologues, juristes et spécialistes d’info-com, s’intéresse aux violences militantes commises en France depuis le milieu des années 1980. Il s’agit de porter un regard croisé sur le fonctionnement des organisations militantes radicales, les processus de radicalisation, la manière dont la société et notamment les médias perçoivent cette violence et, enfin, la façon dont les autorités traitent cette menace en amont (prévention) et en aval (réponse policière et judiciaire). L’article présente la base de données inédite qui a été élaborée dans une logique quantitative par l’équipe et le cycle de colloques et journées d’étude qui a été organisé dans une approche qualitative complémentaire. |

| Summary, etc. | The VIORAMIL project intends to explore the violence and the militant radicalisation in France from the eighties until today, through an innovative multidisciplinary analysis combining the views of historians, political analysts, sociologists, media specialists and lawyers. This cross-disciplinary study also addresses representations of this radical violence in the opinion and the media. Finally it considers the evolution of their management, upstream as well as downstream (prevention campaigns, police treatment, legal follow-up) by public authorities that have to combine efficiency targets with respect for the relevant legal framework. Militant violence will be listed and processed by computer via a database in the form of tables (date, place, actors, types and level of violence, consequences and sources). A second qualitative approach is organized around seminars. |
